Great for ages 9-14

This journal is designed for kids who are curious and independent learners.

The various activities in this journal are geared toward research and development of their own unique perspective of spies and their tools.

Using your interest in spies and the skill of communicating confidential information, you can investigate, expose, track and deduce the best ways to increase your sleuthing skills and intelligence on the topic of spies.

It is structured to be used 4 days a week for 9 weeks (about the time for one quarter/term) completing 6 pages per day.

Simply use library books or online documentaries to discover and record your discoveries in your own unique ways.

With pages for recording information from other fact books, a comprehensive curriculum can be facilitated.

Add in your own Math program and all the basics are covered.

Topics covered include:
  •  Word Bank for spelling
  •  Media Study
  •  Current News
  •  Creative Writing
  •  Spy Career study

What is a Foundation journal?

Designed for one term’s use - 4 days per week for 9 weeks.  Or less often for an extended curriculum.

I specifically had 9-14 year olds in mind when I planned the outline but older or younger learners can use it too.

These are structured unit study journals that cover many school subjects around one core topic.

The difference between Foundation Journals and other unit study journals are the planned daily activities, and with some, weekly topics that all build on the other.

Learners can make use of books, documentaries, and online information to research and discover the information for each activity.
